I thought this was somewhat interesting, the number of post per state on city data as of 5/17. Roughly:

state, pop, state pop rank
1. TX 1,590, 890 (2)
2. NC 1,224,152 (10)
3. NY 980,952 (3)
4. CA 979,076 (1)
5. FL 971 849 (4)
6. PA 604,784 (6)
7. GA 486,312 (8)
8. NJ 441,546 (11)
9. AZ 394, 335 (15)
10. IL 380,683 (5)

Anything we can conclude from this list besides boredom? what's up with all the NC post?

520,000+ of the posts in NC come from the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill (Triangle area) Forum alone. It's the single most active metro forum in all of City-Data. Charlotte's is second at over 476,000 posts.

One of the big reasons: Lots of people moving to both areas and people in the area giving advice to them.
