I want to move the USA for a while. Im from Sydney Australia but have American citizenship through my mother who is an American. Im 29yr Male Single Surveyor with experience in Construction, Civil and Boundry Surveying. I really want to move to the states and experience what it has to offer. I plan on finding work but will have savings to get by for a few months. Im planning on travelling in December this year.

I have been researching a few cities and am leaning towards Austin TX, Dallas TX, Phoenix AZ and Denver CO. I want to move somewhere where i can save money for further travelling within the US also possibly Canada and South America. Also cities with a decent Nightlife and things to do. I enjoy Camping, Golf, Motorcycles,Live Music, Restaurants (American, Mexican, BBQ etc). Im planning on Buying a Car and getting Shared Accommodation to start.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
