My family and i are looking to move out of Arizona and find a small/medium sized town with better weather and a safe place to live. Somewhere where my wife can find work. She is a 20 year kindergarten teacher with her masters degree. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Too general of a question, tell us about yourself and what you want (weather can't be everything)

And then know that public education in Arizona is at Mississippi levels and is underfunded.

There isn't much better weather anywhere than you'll find in Arizona.

The OP is IN Arizona and is looking for other places to move to with "better weather".

I would honestly prefer South Dakota, Maine, or British Columbia.

You can keep your Arizonas and your Floridas. People have different tastes.

That makes this post even more nonsensical. What good are we?

Most states in the East have an overabundance of teachers and a masters degree is common. Maybe it would be better for her to start looking for a job and go from there.

OP, what's wrong with the weather in Arizona? Is it too hot and dry for you?

Consider Bend, Oregon. Weather is nice and dry, it's safe and the wages for kindergarten teachers are very good.

"And then know that public education in Arizona is at Mississippi levels and is underfunded".....apparently you can add most of the country to that list.

If the statistics on the link accurately reflect our collective attitude, it would seem that we just don't care about educating our next generation of leaders.

As for weather, this site will narrow down your choices, based on the weather data points you select.

For a list of safe places to raise a family....look here.
