I voted Chicago.

Seattle? No. I'm a Seattle resident, and love (obsess about) our downtown, but it's far dirtier than it should be.

Uh, not at all. The KY Derby is May 7. In the last 2 years, downtown Louisville is almost always vibrant, day or night. The poster noticed a vibrant dt many weeks before Derby.

Chicago! I remember when I first visited the city, I was shocked at how such a large city with so much foot traffic can be so clean!

I'm not saying Center City is the cleanest, but I wouldn't say it's dirty at all.

Downtown San Jose got this one over any city as the cleanest downtown and it's called Groundwerk Crew. They clean it better than Disney Land. If you leave a mess or spill a drink onto the sidewalks, they clean it up in 30 minutes.

That's funny considering that Cleveland is on the list (a city with a smaller MSA population, smaller metro GDP, and smaller skyline than Charlotte). I do agree that Charlotte isn't "major" but neither is Cleveland.
