Bite your sarcastic tongue. It's called the Great Minnesota Get Together. It's in th Twin Cities so it draws every type of person. The country folk are there, city folk, white, brown, young, old... It's a huge affair. And crowded as hell.

Yes we are proud of our fair. It's the best one in the country of course.

I've read about it and sounds like it is a nice big event. The advantage is being set in a major metropolis so it is easily accessible for 3+ million people

although many of these are quite similar I've got to go with North Carolina's...I've been to some of the others and it's just not the same even though many share some of the same things. The arenas, midway, and dedicated fairgrounds are HUGEEEEE. We deep fry EVERYTHING and have all kinds of weird foods like Krispie Kreme cheeseburgers, deep fried coca cola, alligator kebobs, etc. You can smell McBride's turkey legs for miles as you approach. Concerts, drag racing, pig racing, lots of exhibits, retail, petting zoo, antique crafts, and a bunch more stuff. If there's an NC State football game the same weekend traffic will be absolute hell though.

Our State Fair is a Great State Fair, I recommend that you not only don't miss it, but don't even be late!

I've been to state fairs in Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois and Ohio. I loved them all.

Pennsylvania doesn't have one; instead, it has a lame indoor farm show each January.

New Jersey may have a state fair but I have never heard of it or attended a county fair. On the other hand Ohio is deep into "county fair country" and is where I tried a corndog for the first time
