Colorado is the most beautiful with very diverse terrain and extraordinary mountains and vistas abounding all over. Additionally, Colorado is the State with small towns that serve to only enhance the beauty of their surroundings. This is certainly the case with Breckenridge, Aspen, Steamboat, Telluride, and especially Crested Butte.

Also if you haven't seen the California coast... At times it looks like Florida. Other places like Ireland. Incredible.

Theres lots of beauty in just about every state but the PNW and California probably are the most diverse.--the topography in Oregon can change completely and many times from one end of the state to the other-same for California

Almost everything you can do in Colorado/Utah/Wyoming you can do in California, plus more. California has thousand mile coastline. You can't open water kayak or go deep sea fishing in Colorado and Utah. Or surf. Mmmm surfers.

Washington has arguably the greatest variety. We have the snowiest and wettest places on the West Coast (multiples of Seattle's rain), and also some of the driest. Everything from tree-covered islands to desert canyons.

I voted Maine I am a New England person. Haven't left New England area so don't know much about other States.

Maine is a beast in the winter. However, it is just open wooded land with mountains ocean and lakes it's gorgeous.

California, Arizona, Florida, Colorado, Utah, North Carolina and Tennessee easily in the top 10/15

I also do have to say that Missouri and Nevada are underrated. Branson MO is easily one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to (KC and STL are great too) and Nevada has gorgeous mountain ranges similar to AZ/CO
