Those that didn't vote for Utah have not obviously been there.

Those beautiful national parks and diversity of topography are outstanding!

This is exactly why Utah is high on my list. I could care less about SLC or any of that, I just want to see those parks and jagged canyons. Utah apparently is one of the best places in the country for stargazing. I've never camped, but I loved to fly there, buy a tent, and go chill outside.

IMO: CA, VA, UT, MI and KY are the top 5. Rounding out the top 10: ME, FL, NY, KS ( yup. Those grassy plains are stunning) and AZ.

I voted California. The other states are very beautiful and they have some things California doesn't, and vice versa, but in terms of all things you can do and how much you can get out of one state, looking at the big picture, it would be California.

What other state has the variety of landscapes that California does? It's a big reason that the movie industry settled there.

1. Pennsylvania
2. Vermont
3. New York
4. Michigan
5. Maine/West Virginia (tie)

Objectively, I would have to go with Utah, Washington, Oregon, or California (although that doesn't need my help).

And for that matter Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana are contenders in their own right. Really any western state should be.

But I voted for NC because at the very least, it is the most scenic on the east coast. And yet we are losing to Virginia somehow... this is unacceptable. I have to make things right again!
