Ive made a lot of mistakes in my life and now its time for me to something for me. I'm in a situation where I'm unhappy and need to leave. Where is the best place to start over for someone like me. I'm scared and I don't know what to do. Ive always depended on someone else. I'm not afraid to work. I'm not sure how you do this or how it works.

I would reach out to some of the social service agencies in your area. There are support groups, half/way house etc.

Start again right where you are but not with your boyfriend. Keep your job and local connections that way, and avoid more expensive moving costs. Keep your driver's license, vehicle registration, etc. that way.

If your boyfriend is dangerous or stalks you than you should file a restraining order. Otherwise I don't see what is wrong with getting the cheapest apartment you can find in your area and living by yourself. You could also consider getting roommates, that's common in places like NYC or Boston i'm not sure how common it is in Texas.

I probably wouldn't be asking for life advice on the internet as a person in your situation.

Just as an FYI, not everyone has the rock solid support of friends and family.

I would make sure first you have some kind of substantial savings (at least a few thousand dollars) before making some kind of major move. I would make a list and identify what is important to you in terms of weather, politics (liberal, conservative, whatever), availability of things to do and location (coast, inland, near a lake, mountains, etc) and how much you think you need to get by on each month in the type of job you think you're going to wind up having. All of that will help match cities to cost of living and narrow your focus considerably.

To the OP :What you should absolutely do first is go to a private place and get on your knees and talk to God and tell him you'rere tired of doing things your way. Tell him you've
failed miserably trying to make moves for survival on this planet. Tell him you want
HIS plans for your life. God created you and has a plan for your life. Believe me,
he has a plan. And you will be amazed. He created you for a plan. He will open doors no man can shut. You are in a GREAT situation right now
because when God is done with you no one will be able to
take credit for your life but him !

There is always hope. But in order to succed, you have to distance yourself from friends and family that were trouble for you, you know who they are. Its going to be hard because there are good people who are in that cycle of jail/struggle to get by. Once you have a criminal record, the cards are stacked against you, making it a tough climb to land good jobs and rent apartments.

I can only tell you that if you put in the effort and don't let yourself backslide, that time will pass and you will succeed. A felony from over 7 years ago is commonly viewed as just 1 mistake that you learned from and overcame it. Don't get discouraged, have faith.
Good luck
