Thanks all. We have decided on San Diego. I don't think we have all been to California so it would be nice to go there. Plus I could go to Los Angeles by train.

Since you chose San Diego, make sure you go to Sunset Cliffs!!!! It will not disappoint.. Nearby is Point Loma and Cabrillo. You can't go wrong. Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Go.

And if you go to Los Angeles, skip Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Go directly to Palos Verdes and Malibu.
