Happy Memorial Day to all Americans who have served or are serving their country! I particularly want to remember my great-great-grandfather who served in the Civil War, several great uncles who served in WWII (and among them one who was killed in action), an uncle who served in the Korean War, 2 more uncles and a first cousin who served during times of peace. Also I wanted to mention the first husband of my 90 year old great-aunt who was killed during WWII.

How will you be observing this Memorial Day?

Happy Memorial Day! My Dad also served on the 38th parallel, in the Korean War. Years later (2004), I had a chance to visit Seoul, so I took a guided tour of the 38th parallel and Joint Security Area. Very interesting.

Today, I will just relax and have a day off from the office!

Happy Memorial Day! Obviously, the extra day off is nice, and so far this weekend I went on a fishing trip and ate delicious Greek food and explored the Sponge Docks of Tarpon Springs. However, I also always take time to remember, which this year meant attending a nice service, and watching the National Service (complete with the Beach Boys).
