None. Austin, Texas is a place I do not particularly care for and I've been yearning to flee Texas since I was a newborn supping at my mother's bosom. The THC isn't bad though, for being in the middle of nowhere. The land cannot choose it's inhabitants. Or so I have surmised.

I don't like my answer from 5 years ago, so...

I identify with:
1. City
2. Part of State (NE Ohio)
3. Region (Rust Belt, because "Midwest" isn't the best fit, IMO)

I have a strong connection with the east coast of the United States and feel that the cities from Boston to Washington, D.C. are a distinct and special part of this nation.

But when people ask, I usually say I'm from Maryland or the DC area. This identity is much easier for most people to understand anyway.

I've always said Baltimore instead of Maryland to distinguish it from the DC area.

I tell people I'm from Baton Rouge but I feel at home in all of south/southeast Louisiana. If I meet someone from New Orleans I usually feel like we're from the exact same place even though it couldn't be further from the truth.

I don't identify with my city/area in any particularly strong way, so I'd have to say that I identify most strongly with my state (Montana)...in terms of region, I sort of tend to identify as Northwestern, but I can really only claim such a label based on the fact that I don't live in the Eastern part of MT (which is really quite "Dakotan" if you ask me).

Grew up in Southeast Missouri. I identify with the area around the closest village first, then my county, then I would probably identify as a southerner after that.

Basically, when people ask me where I am from and I am in Missouri, I tell them what county I am from. If I am outside of Missouri I say I am from Southeast Missouri.
