most metros are safe. as long as the city propers of all cities are the only criterion, it's a fair comparison. no use in comparing metros though. too many variables.
That list is kind of a joke and the poll results are even worse. Why would someone vote for Chicago, New York, and any other city besides Detroit, St. Louis, Cleveland, Detroit, Baltimore, and D.C. And the list is missing a lot of cities that could be the most dangerous. LA? Come on man.
If a person is going to spend all their time obsessing over crime and safety, then perhaps that individual is better suited for a cabin the woods hundreds of miles from the nearest major city.
