Couldn't you say the same of Long Island? Most Non-Hispanic Whites on Long Island don't have a college degree.

DuPage - 48.6%
Cook - 47.6%
Nassau - 46.8%
Suffolk - 37.0%

So can we say that Long Island has a Midwestern vibe due to its blue collar population?

Cleveland/Cincinnati/St. Louis/Milwaukee/Baltimore are all like 1% Asian or less, 3% Hispanic or less and the white population is not as
Irish/Italian/Jewish as Philly, with probably not as many Caribbean/West Indies blacks (Philly used to have the 2nd largest Jamaican population in the US-not sure if still true). Philly also has one of the largest Muslim populations in the US.

Philly is like 15% Hispanic (largely Puerto Rican/DR) 8% Asian (largest Vietnamese population outside of California/Houston, Chinese, Cambodian, Korean) and Chicago 28% (largely Mexican), and 5% Asian.

This thread is very tongue in cheek although I do agree with the premise that it's a bit odd when some think the only way to describe a city as "urban" is saying it has an "East Coast vibe".
Baltimore looks to be a little more diverse than you're giving it credit for.

There is no such thing as Midwestern Vibe. The Midwest is too varied to have a single vibe.

I don't know about the other cities but Cleveland proper is 10% Hispanic and Puerto Ricans I believe are the largest group. Cleveland however is a bit different from other Midwest cities in this regard.

I'm thinking blue collar in terms of character and urban, in this case.

While not as high, Milwaukee and Chicago have Puerto Rican populations/communities. Both have bigger Mexican populations, but Puerto Ricans make up about 4-5% in both of those cities.

I would choose Pittsburgh or Buffalo but that's not on here...if that's considered northeast.
Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland are not landlocked!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Great Lakes are connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Ships from Europe and the rest of the world dock in all of these cities. By the way, have you ever heard of the Soo Locks? The locks pass an average of 10,000 ships per year.

I don't understand why so many people are voting Richmond. Richmond is literally zero in common with any Midwest city. Zero. Baltimore due to its Rust Belt characteristics and as a city that received African Americans during the Great Migration in addition to Philly also being somewhat Rust Belt and having the same Great Migration characteristics I can see.
