San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento and Long Beach would beat a lot of those.

I think the city of Tampa, FL is rather integrated and interracial couples and interracial mingling seems common. Of course there are areas where one race dominates the neighborhood but this isn't the case in a lot of the city. Go across Tampa Bay to St. Petersburg and to me it seems really segregated where most of the black population lives in South St. Pete. But... that topic isn't what this thread is asking....

Miami should be on the list ahead of a few of those cities. I dont think there is any doubt. Its either NYC, Chicago, or LA if you ask me

Two of those cities are ridiculously segregated and one of them is home to the latest race riot.

I tihnk pretty much every city is still racially segregated. I don't think most of it stems from economics more than it does from racism in most cases.

I think as we start to see a shift in the wealth distribution we will start to see a shift in the racial integration of our cities.

Miami is not integrated at all, especially between blacks and the general population. NYC and Chicago are segregated to the extreme. LA seems somewhat integrated but groups still clique up. I think a few people here have based their vote on what they "heard" instead of what they saw. The most integrated city on this list is Houston by far, and that was a huge surprise to me on my first visit, but it's really no contest. You just don't sense "Race" there at all. The rest of those cities are on the list are at least somewhat segregated or not very diverse. The only other ones that are kind of integrated there are San Diego, and to a limited extent (yes, I know), Tampa, but only on the east side of the bay. The west side has almost Detroit-like segregation.
