IN Washington, D.C., avoid most of Northeast and Southeast, except the areas immediately around Capitol Hill and Union Station. DEFINITELY, for the sake of YOUR LIFE, avoid anything in DC east or south of the Anacostia River.

Yes and no. While most of CT's wealth is concentrated in Fairfield County, there is still a great amount of wealth outside of New Haven and Hartford.
(Avon, Simsbury, Glastonbury, West Hartford all wealthy suburbs of Hartford)
Also, CT has a lot of money on the shore even outside of Fairfield County.

I'm not sure which road/intersection is the most dangerous but Kingston pike and Alcoa (I'll -kill-ya) highway are contenders.
Think about it - in most cities a murder is big news but someone getting killed or seriously injured in a car wreck is an everyday event. So why do y'all talk about neighborhoods where most people are too poor to drive?
I don't know about your cities but in Knoxville the vast majority of murders involve drugs and love triangles. Stay away form those, take precautions about being a robbery target, and you are pretty safe just about anywhere that doesn't involve vehicles.

Tenn, i would agree there are other parts of CT, that are well off in the northern parts. I have a few friends from Simsbury lol, so it is a middle upper class enclave outside of Hartford, but compared to the wealth outside of New York...eh no comparison

agree with everything you said.
In Alexandria, VA avoid the 22306/22309 area codes and the Parker-Gray neighborhood.
In VA, Richmond has a declining but still high crime rate. Petersburg is pretty dangerous. Hampton Roads has some very rough Neighborhoods like Eastern Newport News.

What's the good-to-bad ratio in Hampton Roads nowadays? Years ago I visited Portsmouth and that was about it because I heard so many negative things about the area.

Some of Portsmouth has really cleaned up. Norfolk's Ocean View (used to be bad) is showing signs of life. Newport News Denbigh section is going downhill but outside there and the East End, NN is okay. Hampton's midtown is getting a lift with the Peninsula Town Center.
In all i'd say 70% good 30% bad for HR.

yeah i agree...nothing is comparable with the wealth of NYC or Fairfield County. Now that I think about it, Litchfield County is another wealthy part of CT too. So while F.C. accounts for a GREAT amount of CT's wealth, I don't think connecticut would be poor without it.

In Detroit it's bad almost everywhere, but I would say the Eastside because the people there are more cutthroat and grimey and the hoods over on the east are total war zones.( 6 & 7mile Hoods, Gratiot Hoods, Van Dyke Hoods, Mack Hoods)Over there it seems like the sun never shine and it's always gloomy and dark. The WestSide is also out cold From Linwood to Brightmo' and the Southwest side is the gang capital in Michigan (Vernor,Toledo and D Ray). In Detroit they say it's all about Mack, Money, Murder and Rap.

Riverdale is the Best Man! Riverdale Rocks!!
Remove Riverdale from the list of dangerous places. The most crime we have is shoplifting..statistic prove it...so do more homework before posting bad info. Riverdale is on the move.
