In the 70's I could make one phone call and get an attorney, apartment, doctor, or where ever I wanted. Today I have to make 6 phone calls, listen to 6 recording, talk to 6 people and waste 2 hours. Is it this way everywhere in the US are is there somewhere I could live and not have to go though 2 hours of red tape to pay a bill, or what ever I want to do. Computers have made our lives so complicated that it's impossible to get anything done. I know because I was a MIS manager in Silicon Valley for 20 years and every time I go to a business I can see how screwed up their computer network is and I don't think that 95% of the people who are in charge of the computers in the business world know what they are doing. Anyway where can I go for a more anti rat race place?

Check out the US Virgin Islands which are very laidback and like a whole other world yet without having to leave the US. I would suggest taking a look at Charlotte Amalie in St Thomas or Christiansted in St. Croix.
