Another vote for I-90. Be sure and see the Black Hills and Badlands along the way. Have a great trip!

Hi, Josh. I'm catching up on some old posts here, and I see I left everyone in suspense.

I never made the car trip. Circumstances changed (mostly with getting time off work), and I ended up flying both ways.

Thanks for everyone's input. My wife and I plan to move to Seattle next spring, if not sooner. She promises me that we'll drive cross-country for my 40th birthday. I want to see all that beautiful scenery I missed!

Good luck to you gnab gib. The scenery driving cross country is beautiful. In my view, too few people make these trips. Everybody is in a hurry and flies. I have done so many road trips out west, I've lost track of them all. But I do have a lot of photographs and memories. I'm hoping for one more road trip this year before the snow flies.
