For metros between 1 and 2 million which cities do you think have the best park system.
Consider
-artificial landscape (eg: gardens, statues etc)
-natural landscape (hills, valleys, wildlands)
-quantity
-accessablity (are parks spread throughout the city, or concentrated):
-signature park
Rochester has great parks. I'd consider Highland Park the cities signature park. Cobbs Hill and Genesee Valley Park is nice to. Plus the Genesee Rive trails run throughout the whole city. And that's just naming a few.
That is nice, but I don't think that is the best measure. You can't expect Providence, RI, with a Density of 9,700 ppsm to have the same parkland per capita as Albuquerque, a city with 2,900 ppsm. Providence would need 3x more parkland that Albuquerque, which is just unrealistic.
