um, cincinnati and atlanta are on 75. and judging by traffic in those cities, you'll be "stopping" regardless.

Agreed. Cincinnati and Atlanta will be your problems as far as traffic goes. But both have great entertainment options.

Avoid 75 once you hit Toledo...

I've made the drive going both directions from/to Lansing-SC/FL. Altalta was insane. 9pm, 2 hour PARKING LOT on ... 5 lanes traffic? Too insane, I don't have patience for that. Cinci isn't nearly as bad, depends on what time of day you're gonig through (much like Detroit). I now prefer heading down thru Virginas/Carolinas... just have to be mindful of the truckers.

Great Smokies Nat'l Park was my favorite. There are all kinda of little things along the way, just have to watch your road signs.
