I went to college in the same metro area where I was born and where I grew up. I stayed for about a year, moved away for graduate school, came back to this metro area, and have stayed there since (over 6 years now.) So I'm not sure what I should mark.

Yeah, the survey kind of assumes that everyone leaves home for college, and that's not the case. There were two major universities and a large community college in my hometown and a dozen more schools within an hour or so. Lots of my classmates lived at home or in nearby apartments while attending college and usually working, too.

I did stay in my college town; which is on the edge of the metro area where I grew up (but still pretty distinct/unique) about 35 minutes from where my parents still live. The part-time job I had during my senior year at UNC eventually lead to the program director position I have now so my career has really gotten off to a good start saying in my college town. I also really like the area and just bought a home here so I think I'll stay around for a while.
