A rural or small-town forested area may work for you. Lots of trees would mean not much place to farm; rural means no one bothers to spray it for mosquitoes. Forested small towns on rivers can have paper mills, though, which you wouldn't want either.

Do you absolutely need acreage? Living in an area of denser population often eliminates the farm issue.

The upper peninsula of Michigan sounds like what you want. You could get quite a nice place on Lake Superior for that. Or look into the Apostle Islands. Not near a big city, but there are health food stores and Internet nearby. Maine may be an option for you... Somewhere near Portland Maine. Health food galore and tons of space.
