I'm talking top ranked universities. I would argue that Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Houston among others rank among the best cities for education in the country. Boston has Brandeis and Harvard. St. Louis has Washington University in St. Louis, Saint Louis University, Webster University, Lindenwood and University of Missouri-St. Louis. Chicago has Northwestern, University of Chicago, Loyola and DePaul. Pittsburgh has Carnegie and I believe a few others. Houston has Rice. Baltimore has Johns Hopkins. Philadelphia I'm sure has good ones. So name me the top cities for academic institutions in the country.

East coast bias, maybe?
Because the OP stated top-ranked universities, not quantity....quality.

Why is everyone forgetting to mention the Bay Area with UC-Berkeley and Stanford, and nearby, you have UC-Davis, which has one of the better med schools in the US
How are we comparing schools that don't even break the top 100 of the regional midwest category to schools like Harvard? No offense OP, I think your case for touting St. Louis again is a bit misguided on this one.

Uc Davis has a good med school but not top tier. UCSF is top tier.

You're just a troll who won't acknowledge ST. Louis for anything...you seriously mean to tell me St. Louis doesn't have great academic institutions. Washington University is one of the greatest academic institutions in the country and Saint Louis University is certainly in the top 100. Go away.
