What is your favorite midwest town in terms of aesthetic appeal?
Burlington Iowa seems nice

If we're talking "towns"; Nebraska City is pretty cool. St. Joe, MO, second.

There are some very neat small towns along the lake shore in WI, MI, MN. Grand Marais, Door County, New Buffalo

I've always been a fan of Columbia, Missouri and Carbondale, Illinois myself.

This depends on how much you consider Ohio to be the midwest or not, which seems to be a never ending debate that doesn't get us too far, but Northern Ohio certainly has some charmers:

Geneva on the Lake: https://www.google.com/search?q=Chag...a+on+the+Lake+

Medina: https://www.google.com/search?q=Chag...&q=Medina+Ohio

However, I'm not sure there's a more charming town anywhere than Mackinac Island, MI.
