Last year I found a picture that I took of a city that I didn't recognize. I recently found this forum, and thought it would be the perfect place to ask.

I took this picture on a drive from New York City to Cincinnati. Under properties, it doesn't show anything regarding location, but it says it was taken at 8:51 pm, so unless there's an error, the picture was taken during the latter half of the drive.

I think it's Downtown Akron from I-80.

I forget the exact route, but towards the end we passed Kings Island. Looking at a map, it's right on I-71.

Hard to say without knowing the route you took, It can't be Akron because there is no river that big there, and I-80 does not go through it, I-76 does which is the route you would take to Cincinnati. I doubt it is Columbus because the city does not look big enough. The only place I know of where you cross a river that big would be on I-76 going over the Susquehanna river in Harrisburg PA, I-80 crosses it at Milton PA which is not that big.

That looks pretty similar to Columbus on 670 East. The Scioto River and multiple man-made lakes are in that area and it offers a view of the skyline.

I think the majority of it is hidden behind the trees.

I don't think this is Columbus. You can see one of those corporate bright lettering illuminating from one of the buildings on the left and the only building that has that sort of lighting is on the Huntington Tower, I believe? The color of that building isn't brown, it's greyish and the Huntington Tower is brown. Plus I don't see the LeVeque Tower which looks like a spear. Though it could be hidden behind the trees. There's only a few cities you would go through if you're heading from NYC to Cincinnati. Pittsburgh and Philly are choices but you would be too far to get a view like that. Maybe Allentown? Youngstown?
