I can hear church bells in summer. I think from more than one church, because the tone is different.

I hear them at 6AM, 9 or 9:30AM (at least on weekends) and 6PM.

I grew up in a village in Missouri, the Catholic church had a bell that could be heard all over the town, I loved it! Every time I go home and hear that bell, it reminds me of my childhood.

Personally, I hate hearing the church bells that play the same song as the one at my high school. I usually here it on vacation and it pisses me off becuase it reminds me that when I get back from this trip, school starts again.

There's on old French church in Downtown St Paul near where I work. Its bells do the Big Ben chime every quarter-hour. Very nice!

Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN has a huge chapel with a bell that rings every 15 min. As the town is not large, I would imagine you can hear it in most areas.

The cathedral in downtown Baton Rouge chimes every half hour and it will play a recital on special occasions and even some odd random days. Also the LSU clock tower chimes on the hour I believe, maybe the half hour too, I don't remember, but it has a nice tone to it.

There is also an old carillon bell tower down around Morgan City near Lake Palourde that recently started playing again.

I live across the street from a catholic church called La Madeline in Salt Lake City, Utah. The bells have really helped me with time. It's nice to know when there are 15 minutes till the next hour, etc.

We had this in the town I grew up in. Every day at 5 pm they would go off in memory of a parishioner's child who died.
I loved it.
They still play them but it is randomly set off during the day.

Second Avenue and 15th Street in NYC - grew up hearing church bells from across the street. Now in Minnesota I can hear church bells about five blocks away in summer when the windows are open or I am outside.
