I've always wanted to live in a neighborhood with a church bell. I've always wanted to be in a town or city in which church bells can be heard. Have you ever been in such a place?

I love the sound of church bells also. Growing up, we lived relatively near a church, near enough that I could hear the church bells if I were outside and really listening. Since then, I have not lived near church bells, but I would surely love to.

Actually, I was in a small neighborhood in my hometown of Pittsburgh recently, called Polish Hill. I frequently take pictures of the various neighborhoods around town, and I just happened to get a flat outside Polish Hill's trademark church. As I was waiting for AAA, I was stunned by Polish Christmas carols being broadcast outside the church. The carols played for about 15-30 minutes while all the old people of the neighborhood came out of their houses and migrated to the church.

Not bells, but music. I think it is organ. I love it when I am lucky enough to hear them. I wish I knew their schedule.

I used to live in a small river-town on the Mississippi and there was a church downtown that would ring bells for each hour. It was very neat.
