That map shows that PG county, outside the beltway, has had more than 4x the homicides Fairfax, Arlington, Montgomery and Alexandria combined for 2016.

Hmm... Violent crime up in Minneapolis for the fifth year in a row - StarTribune.com

I spent some time in Minneapolis and St Paul last year (in the middle of January no less) and was surprised at the vagrancy on the streets. I was accosted in both of the twin cities by people sizing me up. I went home and looked up the city on Wiki simply because I was surprised that my preconceptions about what a pleasant place it must be seemed incorrect. You know what I found had jumped from 2% to nearly 20% of the population in the last 50 years? I'll save you the surprise: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minneapolis#Demographics

Minneapolis now ranks as the 25th most dangerous city in the country: Report lists Mpls. as 25th most dangerous U.S. city, but Chicago isn't ranked - StarTribune.com
Stay focused. Homicide rate, not violent crime. I don't know what PG county's overall violent crime statistics are like.

You are comparing a rural wilderness state with no true urban major city to an urban city in a more populous dense state. Most if not all major cities in the nation will have more than 14 homicides if is has more or less residents than New Hampshire.

Prince George's County: 2015 Population 910K ; Pop Density: 1800/sq mile 2015 ; Murders : 81 ; 2010 Family Median Income: $82,580

Minneapolis + St Paul: Combined 2015 Population 710K ; Combined Pop Density: 6600/sq mile ; 2015: Murders 65 ; 2015 Combined Family Median Income: $69,111

Tell me more about how population density and income levels are the major factors in the murder rate?

For comparison, let's look at Portland Oregon:

Portland :2015 Population 632K ; Combined Pop Density: 4300/sq mile ; Ten year average annual murders: 26/year ; 2015 Combined Family Median Income: $40,000

Guess which of these has a subgroup that represents the following percentages of population:

6.3%
64.5%
18.5%

Why are you using family median income? Why not household median income? PG County covers a much wider area and has more people. So, its rate appears to be similar to the combined Minneapolis-St. Paul rate. Actually, I believe that the Minneapolis-St. Paul rate is higher than the Prince George's County rate.

Also, that 3rd Black percentage is for Minneapolis. St. Paul is about 15-16% Black. So, the combined percentage is likely 17% Black.

Also, in 2014, Billings MT had 10 homicides for a city of about 107,000. I believe that rate is actually a little bit higher than the Prince George's County rate for the information given(I believe 9.1 vs. 8.9). Billings is about 1-1.5% Black, by the way.

Problem with looking at race alone is that it doesn't account for large drops in crime within African-American neighborhoods, as happened in parts of NY and DC from the 90s to the 2010s. The Bronx, for example, is 10% white, and even blacker now than it was in the early 90s, when it was one of the most dangerous places in the country. Its homicide rate has fallen dramatically, and has been running at 5-10 per 100k, lower than whiter places like Boston and Dallas.

In the DC area, Alexandria, VA is 22% black, 16% Latino, and nearly 10,000 people per sq mile. It has both its share of wealth and its share of housing projects. It's had 4 homicides this year on a population of 150,000.

P.G. County outside of the Beltway is not uniformly middle-class. The Beltway is a rough demarcation (not a precise one) between the poorer and more affluent parts of the County. But there are certainly parts of P.G. County outside of the Beltway (Landover and Camp Springs in particular) that are not very dissimilar from parts of the county within the Beltway.

There’s a ridiculous trope — put forward by the makers of TV crime dramas, auto alarm systems, handguns and attack ads against soft-on-crime politicians — that white people who set foot in the inner city are prey for African American criminals. Even my black neighbors believe it. “I think Caucasians who walk down this street are pretty brave,” one of the sneaker store owners told me.

“I think the black people are brave,” I said. “They’re the ones who get shot.”

or try this one...

The dominant narrative of the endangered white person barely making it out of the hood alive is, of course, a myth. No one is safer in communities of color than white folks. White privilege provides an invisible force field around them, powered by the historically grounded assurance that the state and media will prosecute any untoward event they may face.

(Gentrification’s insidious violence: The truth about American cities - Salon.com)
I'll add more. If you're a Black criminal and you murder a White person, your chances of getting the death penalty are about 5x higher. Most Blacks who committed murder murdered a Black person. However, most Blacks who get the death penalty killed a White person.

I think it needs to be understood that most of the Black crime obsessives have their own virtual watering holes where they can aggregate stats and studies on Black crime that they can then inject into threads on forums like C-D. These include...

Steve Sailer
American Renaissance
Heartiste (Roissy)
Half Sigma

A lot of overlap between the PUA/Manosphere community and HBD/"race realists"/Black crime obsessives. They are essentially a cult and these blogs are their equivalent of "The Watchtower."

This thread should be closed and/or deleted. The OP did not commence this discussion in good faith.

We can compare states as well. Virginia and Missouri. Virginia has twice as many Blacks(percentage and raw numbers). However, Virginia has a lower murder rate than Missouri, much lower.

Hampton,VA, which is 49.4% Black, has a murder rate around 6.6 murder per 100,000. In the span of a decade, the murder rate only went above 10 per 100,000 once.

Of Virginia's large cities, only Richmond was quite murderous. And even its murder rate can't compare to St. Louis. Richmond is more Black than St. Louis by small margin, but less murderous than St. Louis. Better yet, let's compare Kansas City vs Norfolk. Norfolk,VA is frequently less murderous than Kansas City,MO and it has a markedly larger Black population than Kansas City.
