I kind of know what works for me, and I'm looking for something very specific.
-Upper and upper-middle class Bohemian hippies.
-Good looking girls.
-Good music scene (Phish-type music and EDM)
-Good outdoors activities.
-Not a major city.

Here are a few cities I feel meet this criteria:
-Burlington, VT
-North Lake Tahoe
-Santa Barbara
-Boulder, CO
-Scottsdale, AZ

Any other suggestions? Thanks!

There are also some other areas that fit most if not all of the bill but may be closer or part of larger metros.

New Hope, PA is one that would be similar. Its own place but close to both NYC and Philly (Part of the Philly metro though is more of a rural cosmopolitan town feel.

There's nothing hippie-ish about Scottsdale and I wouldn't say it has a great music scene. The other criteria fit, though.

I'd also consider Chico, San Luis Obispo and Eugene.

Scottsdale has nothing to do with "hippie" culture. I'd peg it's local culture as more materialistic.

Definitely Ithaca, NY. Wealthy Hippies! I would even call them elite and no it's not an oxymoron. Somehow in Ithaca it all makes sense. Some even come there to retire, building huge homes around Cayuga Lake (or perhaps living in one of the communes). It just happens to be that way.

I think the biggest issue you'll have is rich + hippie-leaning = old. Expensive places with that kind of culture have - well, expensive housing. Not to mention meh job markets. And no one can afford expensive housing in a meh job market better than a retired boomer.
