Well usually if you see orange trees in urns it means they would be killed if planted in the ground. They plant citrus in urns up here. You will never get decent fruit without planting in the ground imo. Tuscany is actually a colder part of Italy being in the higher inland areas. Along the coast they are planted in the ground in Italy. Record low in Florence, Italy is -10F.
