You'd be fine in Salt Lake, but I would definitely not consider anywhere in Utah County (which is where Provo is). Actually, you'd probably really like Salt Lake. You ought to drop by the Salt Lake City forum and ask a few questions there.

Evergreen, Colorado. Tons of Open Space parks and hiking trails nearby, ice skating on Evergreen Lake in the winter. Just a stone's throw up from the Denver metro area. Consistently about 10 degrees cooler than Denver. Not that much snow, relatively mild winters. Lots and lots and lots of sunshine. No humidity.
