6 or 7 at the most is ideal, then I would take a plane if possible.

6 hours max. Also I weigh it against air travel which still requires 4 hours for a close destination. Basically an hour to the airport, an hour wait, an hour flight, and an hour getting off and taking transportation to your destination. (4 hours). So 6 hours, I feel I'm just losing 2 more hours.

Last month we went to Kansas from Denton, TX and it was a 5 hour drive. That was literally just one day. Went there and back.

New Years Eve 2011 turning to 2012 we went to Mayo, FL from Miami, FL to spend new years with my mom's mom's side of the family for like 3 days and thats a 6 hour drive.
