I don't feel any competition - like I've said before, overall, I much prefer Texas weather to most other locations in the US.

Our high today though was 84. Humidity was pretty low. Beautiful weather, actually, with abundant sunshine. Our high tomorrow is supposed to be around 81, and then it drops significantly Friday to highs in the low sixties and lows in the high 30s and low 40s for the next several days. Thanksgiving should be with highs in the sixties and lows in the low fifties or upper forties.

Sounds splendid to me.

Today's high was a record high by the way - not at all typical for this area. Lots of places around the US had record high temps today:

What happened to fall? More heat records set Wednesday
I don't know where y0ou got it was 84 in DC. I'm going off the weather channel and it said the high was 66. Average the last 7 days was 66 and will be colder than that the next few weeks.

Again, this is not a competition. Relax.

It was 84 where I live (I live near Tyler but not in Tyler). So technically, just to split a hair or two, it was cooler today where I live in Texas than where you live in the Mid Atlantic region.
Again, your high was 85, mine was around 66. That's close to a 19 degree delta. That's substantial. But I'm glad you like mid 80s in November, I personally don't.

Read the post I just wrote - my bad.

I know you keep saying that this is not a competition. People are posting comparisons (you as well) so I am doing the same. Comparison, competition - whatever you want to call it. The simple fact is that it's warmer for longer in Texas but our winters are also not nearly as cold and are shorter in duration and that some people like that (obviously, since Texas leads the nation in net migration) and some people don't.
