I've driven cross country twice before. My first Drive I was scared to hell because I drove the rockies and experienced mountain snow driving for the first time. The 2nd just to avoid that same experience I drove even more south from Michigan to san francisco and drove an extra 5 hours to avoid that. This time around I'm think about taking i80 east to Michigan, leaving on November 18th, however I'm worried about tight mountain curves. High elevations with no railings... etc.. is it a good idea to take i80 or should I stick to a more southern route.
