Northern Maine... Aroostook County has a very high French-Canadian/French-American Population with strong ties to Quebec, which it borders. To the east, northern Maine is pretty much surrounded on all sides by the Maritimes

I think you could also argue for northern NY state, VT and NH due to the proximity of Montreal though I don't know enough about that area to say how, if at all that translates culturally to those areas.

There's this little part of Washington state called Point Roberts that's only accessable through Canada. It might as well just be part of Canada.



I've been to Washington, but not Point Roberts though. I've just heard about it before. This thread just made me think about it. I'm assuming it might be a contender for this.

The Portland-Seattle-Vancouver chain is a group of siblings. In some ways we have more in common than we do with our own countries.

But Vancouver is still another world in some ways, with its Britian/HK ties and love of hackey or whatever it's called.
