Fort Collins CO might be a good option. It's a college town though so I don't know how you feel about that. The other downside (potentially) is that it's just outside the 10 hour window. If you go 85 on the interstate (I think some stretches of interstate have 80-85 MPH speed limits) and make only a minimal number of stops, you might be able to get there in about 10 hours, but it's probably closer to 11 or 12 hours.

Pretty sure the OP is trying to get away from a cold and snowy winter, which would eliminate Fort Collins, as it is colder than where the OP lives now.

Colorado's top rural speed limit is 75, in rural areas. Perhaps you were describing Utah, Idaho or Wyoming? If so, yes that is correct!
Sacramento is only 9.5 hrs. from where you are currently and might have more career options, closer to the coast/Bay Area, etc., more sunlight and warmer than Reno.
Reno isn't a bad option either.
Salt Lake City is another thought, a little sunnier, warmer, much bigger than Baker City.
I'll second the notion of St. George also. Beautiful area, only a nudge over your 10 hour limit but easily doable in a day drive, mild weather, beautiful scenery, good size town, relatively easy access to Las Vegas, and even Los Angeles for road trips.
