You know what I mean - not heavily made up.

I actually don't mind eye makeup, but lipstick has always been a big turnoff for me. To each their own of course.

Seems more like a stereotype of the South. Everybody my age pretty much does the same thing everywhere these days. I'm from NY and lived in the South. Among my generation I didn't notice a difference.

Eh. I'm 37 and been married for eight years now. But my "type" still look pretty when I see them walking about. Women in "the scene" definitely have longer hair than say ten years ago though, when it seemed like half the women I dated had the same short haircut.

There are two groups in my opinion: achievable/ approachable beautiful women, and barbie like full of bullcrap beautiful women.
The first group is found in places like Colorado, Kansas, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, South Carolina, Louisiana ...etc the later are found in Florida, California, New York, Arizona ...
In general cities with the most modeling agencies have some real out of this world girls. When i first went to NYC i was like , damn bunch of ugly ass people here. Then you hit the right clubs and restaurant and bam, feels like a Prada comercial.

Miami Beach. The people are so beautiful but I usually tell myself that most of them are broke and/or stupid so that I feel better.

It's funny how the "Irish look" works on men but generally doesn't on women.

Just as an example, I found this article just now, which profiles ten up and coming Irish actresses. Now, obviously actresses aren't just picked for looks - acting talent is important. But you can presume an actress will tend to be above average overall. Out of the ten, the majority are not conventionally attractive. I think Hannah Tucker-Mamalis and Seána Kerslake look cute - in the sense I would want to go out on a date with them if I were younger and single. And Amy Shiels is somewhat attractive in a conventional sense. But the majority are just plain, plain, plain.

BTW, I'm not saying any of this to be anti-Irish. I'm actually a quarter Irish myself. It's just beautiful women are not one of the strengths of the Irish. At least the average Irish women is more attractive than the average English woman however.
