Thanks for sharing everyone! Happy to hear more, but now out of curiosity, how important is having these venues close to you? Is it perhaps just important because you want to be in a decently sized city and those have them, or is it that you really prioritize having sports available to watch? I'm in the ladder group, and my minimum would be having at least one of the Big 5 or D1 in everything within an hour, and preferably all 5 within a 4-5 hr trip. If I'm
being greedy, Id like to have at least one venue within 15 minutes and multiple about 30 minutes or so away.

Also, which venues are musts?

Phoenix and LA are set up quite well, though traffic seems to negatively impact LA as posted by some. PHX really gets a lot.

That area is pretty isolated from sports that's for sure. A lot of natural beauty to pass around though! Medford is almost equidistant from Trailblazers and Kings, (4:15-4:41), though idk what part of that area you'd be from, perhaps further.

As per the trail question, to the Lansing poster, any greenway within city would count, including the Lansing River Trail. The county I live in isn't serviced by anything similar, though most are. I'm closer to a state park (about 14-15 minutes) than I am to one of those.

I notice NYC posters show distance not time which makes sense, but how long would you estimate it takes to get from doorstep to venue, using your means of transport? Some of the smaller cities on here don't do half bad either.

I would want MLB and NBA within my metro area, but did manage to live 4 hours from MLB for a summer and lived to tell about it. NFL, NHL, etc, I can travel to see.

Buffalo Sabres - Keybank Center: 1 hr and 7 minutes/ 64.6 miles
Buffalo Bills - New Era Field: 1 hr and 9 minutes/ 69.4 miles

This is according to Google maps. I've made it to the Key in less than an hour though. Traffic is usually no issue since I'm coming from Rochester and both places are a short drive off the Thruway.
