I thought this would be an interesting idea for a thread, given that there were somewhat similar ones already (how far from int'l airport, how far from state line). I went a little more into detail with mine, however, you can add as much or as little as you'd like. I tried to focus on sports that received at least some coverage throughout the year on a national scale, and as a bonus, added in national parks to mine as well. I'm guessing those in the northeast will do especially well on this, but in any sense, it should be interesting! I used drive times from my house, without traffic.

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays (0:32)
NBA: Orlando Magic (1:42)
NFL: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0:48)
NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning (0:44)
MLS: Orlando City SC (1:45)
Power 5: Florida Gators (2:24)
NCAA Division 1: USF Bulls (0:46)
NASCAR: Daytona International Speedway (2:27)
PGA Tour: Innisbrook Golf Resort (1:04)
ATP (Tennis): Crandon Park Tennis Center (Miami Open) (3:30)
Minor League Baseball: Bradenton Marauders (0:14)
Protected Paved Trail (0:23)
NPS Unit: DeSoto National Memorial (0:24)

Interested to see what everyone else's lists are, though of course, you don't have to get as extensive as I did.

I'm 15 minutes from the Rockies, Nuggets, Broncos, and Avalanche. Probably 20-25 minutes from the Rapids. About 25 minutes from the DU Pioneers. About 35 minutes from the CU Buffs. About 75 minutes from the CSU Rams, and about 90 minutes from the Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

Not too bad! Denver has it well made. Smallest metro to have so many options. I think the isolation of the city from other cities blesses them in that sense.

I like this thread idea. I looked up on Google maps the distance from my apartment to each NY Pro sports stadium

1. Barclays Center: Brooklyn Nets (NBA) + NY Islanders (NHL) - 2.6 miles

2. Madison Square Garden: NY Knicks (NBA) + NY Rangers (NHL) - 4.6 miles

3. Citi Field: NY Mets (MLB) - 7.1 miles

4. Yankee Stadium: NY Yankees (MLB) - 10 miles

5. MetLife Stadium: NY Jets and NY Giants (NFL) - 13 miles (this one is a pain to get to. I thought it would be farther)

Wow. So far I'm envious of a number of you guys. Granted pretty much everything is somewhat close to me to do in an evening, but I especially miss being 5 minutes from the UCF campus. There's probably 60-70 major home athletic events in the Big 3 sports there, and pre move, I was at around 40/50 of them.

15 minutes from Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx. 17 minutes from U of MN sports. 25 Minutes from Wild.

In a couple years, 20 minutes from MLS.

7 minutes from Hazeltine National (09 PGA, 16 Ryder Cup)

No clue for auto racing.

I can walk to the Seahawks or Sounders in 30 minutes. The Mariners would be an extra 3. UW football would be a 12 minute walk to the train, a few minutes average wait, then the train to the stadium door in 8 minutes. Husky basketball would be an extra 1 or 2 minutes walk. Seattle U basketball in the former home of the Sonics in about 5 minutes walk.
