In Tennessee (East) its Georgia. No brainer since it's our most populous neighbor. For a non bordering state it would be Florida no doubt. Floridians seem to love vacations in the smoky mountains.

I live about ten miles from the Virginia border on the TN side. Definitely VA plates, followed by KY/NC. I've seen a lot of Washington state plates recently, which is unusual considering it's so far away.

3) Colorado (can argue that AZ borders CO, but whatever)
4) Minnesota
5) Illinois
6) Ohio
7) Michigan
8) Iowa
9) Wisconsin
10) Idaho
11) Montana or Oregon

Other frequent sightings: Alaska, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, South Dakota.
