Suburban gentrification (real estate, rental, homes)

Any places experiencing gentrification in the suburbs. I know in D.C some of the interior parts of PG county are getting gentrified. I think some suburbs of L.A and Atlanta are also getting gentrified.

This is common in high cost areas. What "gentrification" generally means in those cases is an elderly couple sells their small, dated home in a top suburb, someone buys it, knocks it down, and builds a McMansion on the site. Few people are outright displaced, however, because there is so little rental stock in many of these suburbs to begin with.

A lot of formerly economically depressed, quaint little towns become gentrified in a more conventional manner - basically slowly taken over by retirees, people who can work remotely, and weekenders looking for second homes. Basically Vermont as a whole has underwent this dynamic with New York City expats, which increased real estate prices way beyond what local residents can pay.

It'll eventually spread to Metairie once New Orleans is mostly gentrified.

Many of the older, 'inner ring' suburbs in Atlanta are experiencing gentrification as the second and third wave of owners move in.

You think Morrow and Stone Mountain will begin to gentrify?

Twin Cities - Golden Valley, Saint Louis Park. Roseville and Hopkins are probably next. Amazingly Richfield has somehow resisted this probably due to proximity to the airport.

These are all first ring suburbs which are essentially extensions of the core cities

I do, Turnerbro.
Interestingly, the gay community in Atlanta has begun to embrace Stone Mountain.
