Funny Farm is one of the most underrated comedies of all time, but it was set in Upstate New York. Don't know where it was filmed.

I've been visiting Vermont on an annual basis for the past few years. Definitely one of my very favorite states. I'd live there if not for the winters, which I definitely cannot handle, and one guy I know who lived there for years says it's great until you realize you have to drive an hour, sometimes on icy roads, every time you want to go shopping.

What comes to mind for me is beautiful rolling green hills and a funky bohemian attitude in a rural setting.
