Actually I think very highly of your state (but I far prefer Dallas over Houston). And just as I would be aware enough to reason that not every person in Houston is conservative, I'd think that one will be open-minded enough to not lump all West-Coasters as being liberal. But am I sweeping the whole Texan population with one brush, as you are with a whole region?

Just because there is Christian/ babtist presence in Houston doesn't mean that it is backward or that they push the religion down your throat. Some people are just too close minded to see that. Bro you need to calm down and not be so sensitive. I never said Houston was backward or that they shove religion down your throat. The fact that there are multiple NBA arena sized mega churches in the city is evidence enough that there is a large evangelical presence in the city of Houston. You still haven't disputed this fact, which is telling.

I chose Raliegh/Durham, but you definitely need to add Charlotte, North Carolina to the list.

Well you are claiming that Houston has this huge evangelical presence based on 4 large churches. NYC has many huge churches too so it must have a huge evangelical presence too same with Chicago. What I am trying to say here is that just because a huge city has large churches does not mean it is overwhelmed by one religion. Baptists are not even a majority of religious adherents here. If you are to look at the thread topic, every city in the US has lots of religious people but no major city is dominated by just one religion.

I don't want to go back and forth on this....take a look at the poll results, it speaks for itself. Texas is deep in the bible belt, and no matter how many cultures pervade Houston, it will still have a much stronger Christian presence than any city on the coasts. Depending on the person, this can be a good or a bad thing. I am done.
