West Baden at French Lick in Southern Indiana is an incredible motel that is huge and resembles something from Medieval Europe. It was built around a mineral springs and was a popular resort town until the Great Depression. In the mid 2Ks Indiana built a casino and spent millions saving the building from falling beyond repair.

Just drove by the beautiful historic Cliff House Hotel in Ogunquit, Maine a few weeks ago. It's been renovated and updated very nicely: https://www.destinationhotels.com/cliff-house/resort

Down the road in New Castle, NH we stumbled onto this gorgeous place we had never heard of: Portsmouth Hotels | Wentworth | New Hampshire Hotels

Cool thread, LovinDecatur!
