This is a multiple choice poll.

Las Vegas is a world famous city and for many has a distinct image. Some love it, some hate it and some don't care for the city.

So, when you think of Las Vegas you think most of........please describe and explain.

Hi WildWestDude,I think of gambling, partying, shows, prostitutes, shopping, eatin g out, buffets, drinking, drugs, and crime when i think of Vegas.I think the term "Sin City" is accurate.I was amazed at the scenery when i went there.I went before I was 21 so i want to go again.I like to visit Vegas but I certainly would not want to live there.I also think of the desert heat and climate.I also think of it as a playground of the rich and famous.I also think of the mob and Howard Hughes.

Eh. I feel like some who live there can fall victim to the many vices. You probably have to be a very straight-edge person or have a lot of maturity and self-discipline. My best friend lived there for a year and was going out almost every night, showing up to work super hungover or still drunk. She would constantly get free tickets to events and VIP tickets to clubs and such. I'm surprised she didn't get fired. She was never like that before and once she moved away she stopped acting like that. I also remember interviewing for a summer judicial clerkship position there several years ago and the guy interviewing me had stamps all over his wrists, obviously from clubs he had gone out to the night before, and he was just reeking of alcohol. I decided to stay in San Diego that summer. I feel like it's a city that will just chew you up and spit you out if you allow it.

So in short, I think of partying, casinos, heat. I enjoy visiting there but always ready to leave after three days.

Casinos, fountains, desert palm trees, live shows, clubs, going up a flight of stairs just to cross the street at the strip..

I almost moved to Las Vegas in 2014, and after visiting a few times, I'm glad I stayed in Phoenix.

Las Vegas does have some great entertainment and dining on the strip and Downtown Summerlin, but unless you are a lawyer or doctor/plastic surgeon, the job market is terrible, and the way the metro outside the Strip or Downtown Las Vegas is developed is completely unorganic, it feels more like a collection of subdivisions and strip malls than a real city/metro, and that's coming from someone living in Phoenix, so that should tell you how bad it is.

I think of the Strip, and faux, plastic architecture, and Mexicans flipping postcards for prostitutes every 15 steps down the Strip.

There are some good restaurants, but the pervasive vibe of the city is dark and unfriendly and fake.

I'll be there next week for work.

I think, "Guess I need to visit Sis". Honestly, if my sister didn't live in Vegas, I'd never go. I don't drink and I don't gamble, so Vegas isn't my town.
