Chattanooga is nowhere near the coast so it's hard to see how it would be overshadowed by Savannah and Charleston; that's more true of a city like Wilmington, NC. If Chattanooga is truly overshadowed by other places, it would be cities/towns like Nashville, Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, and Asheville.

Louisville, KY and Tampa, FL.

I live near Louisville, and until moving here, I had no idea how awesome this midsized city is. It is a place on the upswing.

Tampa was also a great city to visit. I enjoyed the vibrancy and all the beaches and parks not far from the city. Tampa had a very laid back vibe that I enjoyed compared to Miami and Orlando.
