Not me, but my long-deceased grandfather used to boast about having been to all 50 states. He and his family used to road trip all the time when my mother was a child. Of course, he cheated a bit by only being in Alaska for a layover to the USSR/Russia.

All 50 states and capitals before I was 18! Blessed with parents who had the means to and instilled me with a love to travel.

I would never go to Alaska.
I've been in the west coast but not in all the 50 states.

The embarrassing part of these travels was that it was all for visiting amusement parks. Back in high school, my friends and I liked to road trip to see how many different roller coasters we could ride. We would try to beat each other, or travel to remote places and visit the really obscure parks. I hit 500 different coasters after visiting about 40 states.

Of all of the places I have been to, I actually found a lot of the north east states to be pretty "drive through". Just endless suburbs and urban centers with tons of traffic.

Mississippi, Alabama, and Louisiana were actually pretty interesting. Arkansas was by far the most surprising to drive through, I enjoyed the unique scenery. Texas was kind of a let down to drive through.
Ha, I've been to all 50 states, but only 6 provinces, the main ones from British Columbia to Quebec.

At one time, I wanted to visit all 50 states with my OH, but since we were 37 and 41 when we met, and only spent a week traveling over a state, we'd never make it.

But I have been all over the east half except La and Ms.
I have been to Hawaii, and flew over the golden gate bridge (what an amazing view), had a short 20 minute stop in LA ( well LAX) on the way back, if you count that as having been to Ca.

I have no desire to go to Al, or the Dakotas or Montana or Idaho, either. Though Mt Rushmore would be a nice visit.

Don't expect at nearly 54 I can even get another 25 or so remaining, though might drive through some.

I'm disabled and do NOT get around like I used to....so travel will be mostly for retirement, not for pleasure.

I have a hard time understand the weird, knee-jerk snobbishness with the "I would never go to...." crowd. There isn't a state out there that doesn't have some major coolness about it. It's almost as if the people who write that are absolutely determined to be ignorant.

My husband had only been to a handful, but now I'm getting him to a bunch as I make repeat trips, he is up to around 40.

I love traveling, I'm on around 33-35 countries, trying to get to Australia so I can knock out all the inhabited continents (I can wait on Antarctica).

I've been to 32 states, not counting layovers and such.

Also, anyone who doesn't want to visit Alaska is a fool. It is the most beautiful state by a solid margin and one of the neatest places I have ever been.
