Forgive me if there are other threads on the same topic, but I am curious to see what people believe is the most/least expensive, overall, between the cities of New York, Chicago, and Boston?

I think the obvious choice for most expensive would be NY. And I am referring to urban areas, not suburbs.

Yes. NYC is the most expensive (including the suburbs, thats right) with Chicago being the cheapest (including the suburbs) and most affordable.

I've lived in Los Angeles, Boston and now New York. My brother lives in Chicago and I'm familiar with San Francisco and let me tell you, New York is just insane (price wise.)

I didn't know 2 million dollar studio apartments and buildings with tiny $800,000 "servants quarters" on the lower-floors for the servants existed until I came to New York.

San Fransisco is after New York. Chicago is amazing and it is such a bargain.

There are loads of cities more expensive than Chicago, not just New York and Boston.

Good to know
Are the amenities of Chicago also cheaper between the three?

Can anyone give me an example of price comparison? If not, it's cool
