After you set foot on this country, what encounter that you have still lingers in your mind? Here is what I can recall:

(1) It was the 70s. The Student Union showed "Deep Throat" and "Behind the Green Door" (By that time the porn material most students could access was Playboy and Penthouse) on weekend in Campus Center. The movies were all sold out early. There were more co-ed attendance. The girls were also the group that got more excited and screamed and made obscene comments loud throughout the movie. From then on, I know what American girls are like.

(2) At Commencement, a male student was streaking in front of the Chancellor, the faculty and hundreds of students and their parents.

(3) Peeking girls skinny dipping in Lake Travis. Still remembered she was doing backstroke in slow motion. I belonged to the group with the swimsuit on which was the minority.

(4) On the plane to Honolulu to visit my friend in summertime, a young girl sitting next to me dressed like she headed straight to the beach right after getting off the plane. She carried a beach mat and wore slippers. Before getting off the plane, she asked if I could take her home. Apparently she planned to sleep on the beach without making any hotel reservation.

(5) After Spring Semester, a lot of my fellow Asian students in college went on selling Bible in the Southern States during the summer vacation. A couple students even became team leaders in their 3rd year selling and could earn $5,000 net in 3 months. (Quite a lot of money for summer job in that time) I still don't understand: Isn't it almost every household in the Southern States has at least one Bible in their home? How could these students continue the selling spree year after year?

That would not have been what I thought she meant
