Thanks to Drewcifer for mentioning this in another thread. Socialexplorer.com has a nifty demographic map tool that visualizes population density, from the state level all the way down to the census block group. Using this map, what is the densest census tract and census block in your city? For Wilmington, Delaware, it's 29,378.7 per sq mile for the census tract, and 45,435.6 per sq mile for the census block.

Seattle's tract #7402 was 51,128/sm in 2010. The State of Washington estimated it up by 7% in 2015 which would be about 54,706.

The second-densest was #7401 at 41,088/sm in 2010, up 18.6% to 48,730 per the State estimates for 2015.

I have no idea about census blocks.

We peaked well below the top cities obviously, but that should change somewhat with the 2020 numbers and hopefully more in 2030.

Neighboring Newark, DE has a census tract of 8,031.4 ppsm, and a census block of 12,666.5 ppsm. Census blocks are a lower unit of measurement than tracks--they're right below tracts on the drop down menu.
