Recently business magnate Elon Musk made headlines by saying he had "verbal government approval" to construct a Hyperloop that could transport passengers from NYC to Washington DC in 29 minutes. Philadelphia and Baltimore would be in between. Though most envision such a reality decades away at least, which city would most benefit from a successful implementation and why? Hope for a good discussion!

All would benefit but DC, easily. Business and government elites already make up a good portion of Acela riders along the Northeast Corridor. If DC was only 1/2 an hour away from New York, this would skyrocket. Imagine all of the lobbying and politicking that would increase?

High-speed rail would benefit all of them. Not this fairy tale, half-baked mode of transport.
